IC103 Career Image, Planning and Management 3 credits
In today?s world of work, it is critical that students understand the dynamics of the employment
marketplace and the importance of self direction. This course will focus on self
assessment, managing personal and professional change, exploring various career options,
conducting an effective job campaign, enhancing work performance and maintaining a balance
between work and family life. Students will gain skills in self awareness, networking,
portfolio construction, resume writing, interviewing and planning and directing their own
careers. Students will develop a degree and career map that identifies learning outcomes
essential to their academic and professional success.
