MC276 Sundance Film Festival 4 credits
This course provides an overview of independent filmmaking, including its history, important
independent filmmakers, and strategies used to market finished films on the festival circuit.
There will be extensive preparation for attending the Sundance Film Festival, held during the
third week of January for ten days in Park City, Utah, culminating in a group study-trip to
the festival. Note: Admission to this course will be by approval of the instructor. Prerequisites:
IC106 or GLE120; and MC100.
